SADOCHOK provides an open learning environment for young children under the guidance and gentle loving care of experienced teachers.

We pride ourselves on providing a multidimensional program stressing Ukrainian linguistic and cultural growth, as well as social, emotional and academic development.

Research clearly documents that the first six years of a child’s life are most formative, and therefore in order to significantly enhance a child’s ability to learn we follow these fundamental principles:

• To stimulate and encourage creative thinking and participation in a pressure-free environment.
• To emphasize the acquisition of basic skills such as reading, writing, oral expression, arithmetic, science and the arts.
• To encourage physical fitness and promote artistic development.
• To promote individualized learning by grouping the children according to ability and interests with low teacher/child ratios.

In addition, our programme is based on a discovery/traditional learning format that is supplemented by visits to old age homes, churches, historical and cultural sites, recreational facilities, as well as other field trips and excursions.

SADOCHOK operates Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30AM and 6:00PM, providing quality child care and a wide range of learning and recreational activities in the Ukrainian language.

As the preschool is equipped with a kitchen and employs a full-time cook, we are able to provide hot, nutritious and delicious daily lunches, as well as freshly-made mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks.
